WIBCA Showcase 2025

The 2025 WIBCA Showcase presented by Watts Basketball has concluded, with two days of high-level basketball taking place at Bellevue College. 16 teams featuring the best talent across the state battled it out on Saturday and Sunday, with Southwest 2 defeating Eastern Washington 2 87-81 to win the championship. Jace VanVoorhis from Camas High School hit two free throws to put Southwest 2 up by 4 with 20 seconds left, and Southwest 2, coached by Bronson King, was able to close it out. A huge thank you to all our sponsors, coaches, and players who helped put on such a successful weekend.

Dribble-Shoot-Swish

DRIBBLE-SHOOT-SWISH…Live Life with Passion”, is a segment of our event that we picked up from its founder, Greg Stern. For many years we’ve implemented this component into our event.  It’s a program where we will pick two 10-12 year old fans from the crowd, one boy and one girl, to DRIBBLE-SHOOT-SWISH for $100.00!!! (Before hand they do not know they’ll receive $100.00!)

The chosen participants will have the opportunity to keep the $100.00 or give it to a charity or cause of their choice.  In doing the latter, when the participant sends evidence of where the $100.00 went we will send them a check for $150.00.

The objective is to enlighten young kids’ thinking about “giving back” and helping people who may be facing an unfortunate circumstance.

The following website is an example of someone who “gave back”. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/ohio-8-year-old-turns-20-into-priceless-gift
