Bill Bakamus
Bill Bakamus has been a head boys’ basketball coach for 40 years. After short stints at Coulee-Hartline and Toledo, he has spent the last 31 years at Mark Morris High School. During his career, his teams have won 26 League Championships, 13 District Championships and 13 State trophies. His overall coaching record is 674-300, ranking him 4th all-time in overall Washington coaching victories. The trademarks of his teams are fundamental play, teamwork and toughness. Coach Bakamus has been involved with WIBCA in several positions serving as the Vice President and currently as the Northwest Shootout (WAVOR) Coordinator. “Billy B” was inducted into the WIBCA Hall of Fame in 2010. He and his wife Cathy have been happily married 38 years and he has three grown children, Katrina, Rachel, Rem and three grandsons, Mack, Bodey and Rem.
